ORGANISING A MODEL TOUR

For freelance models, organising a tour is very easy and straight forward.

Initially, models should fill out the contact form below, or contact Parklands Photographic Studio & Location via email or our social media outlets.

The contact form requests some basic information, such as contact details, levels, rate, proposed tour dates, minimum number of hours required to make the tour viable, and a link to an online portfolio. If contact is made with the studio via email or social media, these details should also be included.

STEP ONE: CONTACT

Once the studio has received the models basic information, applying models will be contacted outlining whether their application has been successful. If successful, the model will be asked to send a selection of high-resolution images that are used to create promotional material to advertise the tour.

STEP TWO: CONFIRMATION

Whilst not all tours will sell-out, a tours success is always dependent on the model actively promoting and advertising a tour. As such, touring models are expected to:

  • Promote the tour regularly on social media (tagging the studio when doing so);

  • Advertise on freelance networking websites; and

  • Make direct contact with photographers in the area who have expressed an interest in working with them.

STEP THREE: ADVERTISING & PROMOTION

When a photographer contacts Parklands Photographic Studio & Location to book a slot on a model tour, the studio will inform the touring model immediately.

The model will be told the name of the photographer, specific contact information, and the time slot arranged. The touring model is then expected to make contact with the photographer to discuss any specific photoshoot details.

Model should note that, unlike many other studios, models are required to be available to shoot from first light until late evening due to the facilities location (sunrise and sunset photoshoots are a common occurrence on model tours). As such, there are no 'set hours' during a tour.

Alternatively, if a touring model receives a booking enquiry, the model is required to provide the name, address and contact number of the photographer, as well as the time slot requested. The studio will then confirm the booking with the photographer by email.

Whilst the studio does not operate a deposit scheme, if the model wishes to take a deposit then they are free to do so however that deposit is totally independent of studio.

STEP FOUR: BOOKINGS

At Parklands Photographic Studio & Location there is a large and spacious visitors carpark situated on site.

If travelling by train, a pick up service from with Hinckley, Nuneaton or Rugby train stations is available with prior arrangement.

For models who are traveling to the studio from some distance, or who are working at the studio for multiple days, accommodation is available on site for touring models. The accommodation includes a private bedroom and bathroom.

During a tour, arrangements can be made to visit one of many supermarkets in the area.

STEP SIX: GETTING TO THE STUDIO & ACCOMODATION

During a tour, the model is responsible for all aspects of their stay, with tours at Parklands Photographic Studio & Location designed to be totally self-sufficient and extremely comfortable.

With respect to tour bookings, models are expected to 'meet and greet' the photographers, provide them with a tour of the facility if required, and coordinate all aspects of the photoshoot itself, including the collection of all monies due.

During any downtime, models are free to relax and use any of the amenities on site, or they are welcome to venture in to the surrounding area where there is a large selection of take-aways, restaurants and pubs.

STEP SEVEN: THE TOUR

Once a tour is completed and all bookings have been undertaken, the facility at Parklands Photographic Studio & Location should be left in a presentable and acceptable state.

All monies, which will have been collected by the model during the tour, will be settled at this point.

As on arrival, if travelling by train a drop off service to any of the local stations is available with prior arrangement.

STEP EIGHT: TOUR COMPLETION

At Parklands Photographic Studio & Location we understand that, at times, a model tour may have to be cancelled.

  • If a specific tour is unable to obtain the agreed minimum number of hours required to ensure that the tour is viable, no fees or charges apply. In such instances, the model tour will be rearranged to take place on an alternative date.

  • Similarly, a cancellation fee will not apply if a model tour is cancelled more than four weeks prior to a scheduled tour date.

  • If a cancellation occurs less than four weeks before an arranged tour date, 100% of the studio's hire fee will be owed (£25ph).

The decision as to whether or not the model tour cancellation policy is enforced is at the sole discretion of Parklands Photographic Studio & Location.
